Hello! Long-time listener, first-time caller, so to say. I'm an RP veteran: started in forums, moved to chat rooms, played pen & paper games; I think the only thing I haven't done is LARP. RPing is my favorite hobby, but unlike most people, I've been doing it almost exclusively with one person for the past... nearly ten years now. Wow. Okay, longer than I thought.
Random fact: I love going back through some of my RPs through the years (yeah, I've saved them all, with my partner) and seeing how much my writing has improved.

I've been directed here by a friend who, years ago, I introduced to RPing initially, so this seems a fitting turn.

I love writing in almost any genre. Sci-fi and fantasy are broad categories and they're my favorites, but I'm definitely open to romance, horror, Eastern, Western, modern, post-apocalyptic. Just about anything. :) I think the only category I wouldn't go for is, I think someone called it, "Canon." I can only imagine I'd run out of gas quickly if I was driving someone else's car.

I look forward to meeting and writing with so many interesting people.

Wow! Ten years with just one partner? You guys must be amazing at generating your own plot twists.

I have gone long periods with just a single partner, but those were more like months, not years, so I'm pretty impressed. If you haven't tried it already, if you manage to find a really excellent RP community, a large group of characters can really create a sort of energy and unpredictability that is like nothing else. It's always nice to be able to dip back into the flow and adventure of a group or a town, then wander off for your own adventures with new friends, then come back again to see what everyone else has been doing and see what that bubbling cauldron of plot will dynamically churn up next. :) It sounds like you have a whole lot of interests, and are likely to get along beautifully here. :D

So, welcome, and please don't hesitate to send me a message if you have questions. :)

Thanks!

I think it's closer to 8 years exclusive, though. I introduced him to RPing as well, and he asked me out in OOC. Happy ending: I married him just last year, haha.

Needless to say, it's been a while since I've written in groups, but I look forward to the change in pace.
Hi there CeramicDragon! Welcome to RPR! :) That's pretty awesome that you married your long term RP partner :) I've been with the same small group of friends for about 8 or 9 years myself, so I know how it is to find people you really gel together well with!

I hope you enjoy your time here and that you make lots of awesome new RP friends! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! Hope to see you around <3

I love a good OOC romance story that includes sweet nerdy elements. You just made my morning so much better. :)
Yes, it's all your fault the characters in my head never shut up... and I thank you for it. Hope you find this site and its members as awesome as I have so that you can stay RP and Art entertained. (Stay away from Loki though, she's awful and will steal your sou- I mean, Loki is delightful and you absolutely should get to know her!)

Haha. Well, I'm glad to be here, so far. Now my biggest issue is crafting a character designed for an environment like this. SO different from what I've grown used to.

I'm glad to make your morning, Kim!

SanityCatch, yes, yes it is, and you're welcome. Muahahahaha! I will, though, have to break out the art stuff and start drawing much more, maybe get started on some characters some time soon.

Loki, I'm told we met at D*Con! T'will be a pleasure getting to know you (and possibly protecting my soul). lol

So, can I ask, why CeramicDragon? It's a pretty cool handle.

Thank you and it has a lot to do with my favorite interests. I've always loved dragons (who doesn't?), and graduated with a BFA, concentration in ceramics (Bachelor of Fine Arts: takes longer than a regular BA and requires more studio art and art history classes to graduate). As soon as I get my kiln working, I'll be keeping it quite busy.
Anyway, some time ago, I was trying to think of a decent screen name and came up with that. Figured I wouldn't forget to respond to "CeramicDragon" since it makes me think up such wonderful things. :)

I approve of everything about that answer. ;)
Haha, so I was told after I welcomed you! Glad to have you here! <3
