((lol, clannad characters much? xD anyway, do remember the cabin is on top^of a small mountain, not on solid ground. You need to climb a bit to get there ^^ ))

Dave groaned as he woke up to find Sara already out of bed. After being lazy for a few minutes, he got out as well and rejoined the others. Rain had apparently started breakfast, and Sara was talking to her. He then noticed new apparel lying around, and looked at Rain. "You went out?" he asked. He wanted to be angry for her going out alone, but he was planning the exact same thing so it didn't really make any sense.

((OOC: Yeah, we really like Clannad. Anyway, I'll make Mai see the cabin up on the mountain. Just ignore the last post how she was starting to run to it! ))

Mai looked up at the butterfly flying away. She then spotted a cabin ontop of a small mountain. She tilted her head in curiosity and ran towards the mountain. Mai slowly started climbing the mountain when she got to it. She knew it was dangerous but it was worth a try. As she climbed closer to the cabin she got a whiff of pancakes in the air. Her stomach loudly rumbled and she climbed faster.

Sara took the plate and got up off the couch just as Dave came, "Morning, Brother! Look! Rain make breakfast!" She smiled brightly as she saw Naomi come out behind Dave, "Morning, Naomi!" She heard the girl reply morning softly. Dave's sister walked over to the table and took a seat at it, getting ready to eat a wonderful breakfast.

rain glanced at dave "yea , just to my truck , those walkers were gone so i went for it and grabbed all the stuff i could carry , theres still a-lot more down there though ,but we don't need that stuff just yet." rain went back into the kitchen and grabbed two more plates. she placed some eggs ,two pieces of bacon a one pancake on one and two on the other "dave i gave you an extra pancake i assume you eat more than us girls ,and naomi this is your plate" she held the plate out to naomi and she took it in her delicate hands then sat next to sara at the table " and if any of you want more let me know"

Kotomi started searching for Mai and soon spotted her little sisters tiny footprints. She followed them to the bottom of a small mountain. Kotomi glanced up and saw Mai running towards a cabin on the top of the mountain. No! She didn't have any idea who was in there, it could even be zombies! She knew she must save Mai before she reached the cabin. So Kotomi started sprinted up the slope and after Mai.

Mai suddenly felt like someone was behind her. She glanced down and spotted her sister. "Mimi!" The little girl called out to her sister, "I smell food coming from that cabin! Quick! Let's hurry and get up there." Mai yelled down at her sister as she removed her one hand from holding onto the rocks that was supporting her as she climbed up and pointed at the cabin ahead. She then continued to climb up. Mai then felt her stuffed animal fall out from her dress. The bunny stuffy was stuffed in her dress before. The white bunny stuffie fell down the mountain and Mai watched it as her eyes widened. "Chappy!" Mai called out to the bunny, who was now on the ground. Mai could feel tears starting to come at the corners of her eyes as she stared at her bunny.

"Mai! Don't cry I will get Chappy. Just stay right there! Don't move from that spot!" yelled Kotomi from halfway up the mountain. She started to walk towards the stuffed bunny. It was hard to walk down the hill. But eventually she reached the bunny and picked it up. It was as soft as she remembered it from when she had been a child. Then she gave it to her little sister. She shook her head this was not the time for memories! Kotomi looked up at the top of mountain. Mai had disappeared. Oh how could she have been so stupid, letting her out of her sight! Kotomi started running as fast as she could up mountain. But she had a terrible feeling in her stomach, that told her she wouldn't make it in time.

Dave frowned at Rain about the extra pancake. "Alright I guess, but you don't have to do that. We'll be low on food somewhere in the future, everyone needs to get a fair share." He sat down and started eating his pancake, until he heard noise on the mountainside. Walkers? He put the plate down and ran for the edge to see two girls, obviously sisters, climb up. He scowled and mumbled. "Great. Are we ever gonna meet any guys?"

Naomi joined him and looked down. "Who are they?"
"I've no idea. Go back to the others and tell Rain to get two more plates if she has them up here, I'll help these two up."
"Alright!" she replied, and ran back for the others to tell Rain what Dave had told him.
Dave, looking down, cupped two hands around his mouth and called them. "Hey there, be careful on those rocks!" He then sat down to await their arrival on the top.

Mai's head snapped up as she looked at the mysterious man. She trembled in fear then looked back down at her sister. Mai was already half way up the mountain. It was either go all the way up or go back down. She then decided that she would keep going. Mai was sure Kotomi could handle herself. She got a tight grip onto the rocks and continued her way up, until she got to the top. She tripped over once she arrived, since she was in such a hurry, and then got back up on her feet. She took a short glance at the man before running towards a bush in the distance. Her stubby little legs weren't very fast but she made it and hid behind the bush, trying to appear invisible. Mai was obviously frightned because she had no idea who this man was. Maybe there was other people inside. Mai hid behind the bush as she tried to remain quiet.

Dave looked surprised as Mai huddled past him and almost jumped into one of the few available bushes, next to a large tree. He then smiled broadly as he understood what was going on. Naomi had just returned and seen the little girl hide as well.
"Hey, Naomi. Would you mind getting her?"
Naomi smiled broadly. "Sure!" She ran off to the bush and got on her knees as she peered in. "where are you? You can come out, it's safe!"

Mai saw the girl walking towards her. Mai stayed quiet as the girl rustled through the bush, looking for her. She was scared. She had no idea who these people even were.

Mai then came out from behind the bush. She ran around Naomi and kept running forwards. She was trying to get away. Her breath already was heavy just from taking a few steps. Mai turned her head to watch Naomi while she ran, making sure Naomi didn't get up and chase her. Suddenly, while Mai wasn't paying attention to where she was going, she ran into Dave. Mai fell down on her bottom and looked up.

Dave looked down surprised and smiled when he saw Mai. "Oh, hey there again!" he said, and smiled happily at her. He reached out his hand for her to grab and pull up on, should she accept it. "Don't worry, we won't harm you!" he said.

Mai accepted his hand and got pulled up to her feet. She dusted herself off and then rubbed her sore bottom. She then brought both of her hands together in front of her, holding them and swinging them gently. "I'm sorry I ran into you, sir." She said quietly as she stared at the ground.

"No need to apologize." Dave replied and patted her head. "I'll assume that's your sister down there?" He asked. At that point, Naomi rejoined them.

Mai nodded as she looked down at Kotomi retrieving her stuffy. She then looked up at Naomi and took a step backwards, bringing her head back down to stare at the ground. "What's your names?" Mai asked, being quiet again.

Sara looks over to the door to see Dave and Naomi go out to see who was out there. She couldn't resist and being curious as well, she gets up and follows out with them. She saw two more girls talking with Naomi and Dave, "Hi!" She shouts out happily, mostly because she got to see more people and they were around her age. She ran up to them and stopped by her brother, "Is my brother bother you? He does that to people he doesn't know." Sticking her tongue out at her brother with a playful wink.

rain glanced out the window as sara left and with a sigh she turned off the gas stove and picked up two pieces of bacon then followed them out "hey" she said as she came up to them " oh well hello there" rain squatted down so she was eye to eye with mia "im rain whats your name" as rain spoke she had a very sweet smile one that does not usually fit her character "are you hungry ,want some bacon" she held out the two pieces of bacon to mai ,wondering if she would take them.

Mai looked at the girl who had come out of the cabin. The girl talked to Dave, calling him 'brother'. Mai suspected that they were siblings. She then watched as the other girl came out of the cabin, with food. Mai's stomach rumbled just at the sight of food. She looked up at Rain with her big eyes.

"My name is Mai, spelt like..." Mai stuttered for a second. "...Spelt like M-A-I" She said, proud. Mai then took the two pieces of bacon Rain handed to her. Mai stuffed one in her mouth and smiled at Rain, "it's yummy." She said.

Kotomi could hear voices at the top of the mountain, but couldn't make out what they were saying. She ran as fast as she could up the mountain and reached the top. When she caught her breath she looked around. Kotomi saw Mai eating bacon standing around 2 girls and a man. She panicked and ran over to Mai yelling "Stop! Don't hurt her! Run Mai, Run!" Kotomi hugged Mai and stared at he people standing around her.

Mai could hear Kotomi getting closer to the top of the mountain but by the time Mai turned her head around to look at her sister, Kotomi had already grabbed onto her and looked frightned.

Mai held the other piece of bacon she had tightly in her hands as her sister held her close. Mai then lifted her head up to look at Kotomi. She then extended her arm out to her sister, having the piece of bacon in her hand. Mai held the piece of bacon as she went on her tippy toes, trying to reach up to Kotomi and give her the piece of food. "Here, Mimi" Mai said quietly to her sister, "It's food. I got it from these people. I'm sorry I made you worry." Mai said, ashamed of making her sister worry about her.
