Arien turned to face Red, and listened to her explanation. Eagerly he leaned forward. "I'd love to see something!" While he didn't care two flips about his brothers' powers, which he'd seen in use often because he was their target, he was looking forward to Red's demonstration.

Bella barked once the wave rolled over her, amused by Neo's puffed out fur. She attempted to duplicate Nex's wave, though her own were small in comparison. Her tail, at least, sent water flying everywhere.

Red concentrated on mixing her elements. A second later, silver blades slid from her skin on the middle of her forearms. They extended beyond her finger tips. Then another pair of blades slide from her skin just half a centimeter above the other ones, but these were level with her fingertips.
Red let Arien look at them before raising her right arm and concentrating again on mixing her elements. A bolt of lightning came down and struck both blades but Red was unaffected. Electricty could be seen radiating from the blades.
"There," she said.

Nex growled playfully and spalshe Bella back. While Neo listened to them very little amused.

Arien's jaw dropped in surprise and awe. "Wow. That's amazing!" He reached towards the blades and touched before realizing that doing so would shock him. "You don't need the tigers' protection any more than they need yours." He shook his head. "So any element, you can do that kind of manipulating with?" ...he was almost scared to find out what sort of ability their kid would have.

Happily, Bella barked again and then leapt through the water towards Neo. She wagged her tail especially hard at him, flinging water droplets everywhere.

Red moved the blades away so they wouldnt elctricute him. "Yes. Wanna see the damage they inflict?" she asked excitedly.

Neo leapt back and hissed but at the water and not at Bella. Nex jumped into the water next to Bella, sending a large wave over her.

"Absolutely yes!" He was perhaps just as excited as Red; and although he had no idea what to expect, but Red's excitement was catching. He moved a bit to the side so she had somewhere to aim that didn't include him. "What are you going to do with it?"

Bella turned and pounced on Nex, trying to climb onto him and out of the water.

Red smirked and balled her hands into fists. "Watch," she replied.
Running towards a thick trunked oak tree, she jumped and punched the tree twice. Dissappearing then reappearing on the other side of the tree, the tree was falling everywhere cut into a thousand pieces. Then suddenly the pieces exploded and turned to ash, raining down everywhere.

Nex went under the watter with Bella standing on him. Grabbing her paw with his teeth gently, he pulled her under.

Arien for a moment thought she had teleported, but then when the tree collapsed, he realized she had probably moved too fast to see.

He stared at the tree, or rather, where the tree had been. Only a stump remained with ash fluttering down. He held his hand up to catch some.

"Remind me never to make you mad," he said, not sure what he could possibly say beyond how awesome her ability was. "How long did it take you to grasp your abilities?"

Bella yelped as she was pulled under and she struggled until she was back up at the surface. She nipped Nex's ear and then struck out for land, swimming for all she was worth in an impromptu race.

Red stood up and smiled then walked back over to Arien. Sitting down next to him, she sighed and put her hand on her stomach.
"It took five years to perfect and Ash hardly knew how to use it. Cant be usin my powers while pregnant though. It puts too much strain on my body," she replied.

Nex swam swiftly beside Bella but let her win. Neo flicked Bella's side with his tail in a friendly manner.

Arien nodded and slowly, hesitantly, reached out to put his hand over Red's. "Well, it'll be worth it in the long run." He smiled at her, his eyes shining with excitement and confidence.

Bella pranced onto dry land, happy that she had 'won'. And then proceeded to shake herself dry right next to Neo. Fluffed and dry, she panted happily at Neo, waiting for his reaction.

Red looked down when he put his hand over hers then smiled. "Glad you agree," she replied happily. Leaning over, she kissed him gently then looked up at the sun. It was late in the afternoon now and Red felt a little tired.
"I'll make dinner if you can go catch something," she offered.

Neo hissed and fluffed out his fur, stalking away. Nex purred in amusement and shook out his fur.

Arien grinned into her kiss, and then stood up with a stretch. "How about you rest while I go catch us something to eat. I'll be back with plenty of time to spare."

He looked around for Bella and then, not seeing her, whistled for her. Hopefully she'd return soon to keep an eye on Red for him. He didn't want to leave her alone even for a few minutes if he could help it.

He moseyed off to check on the snares, wanting to give Red some time to rest up.

Bella, tongue lolling out, grinned wolfishly, and then pricked her ears up. A sound, a whistle, pierced the air. She barked at Nex and then ran to catch up to Neo, trying to herd him back to the campsite where her pack leader was calling for her.

Red layed back in the grass and closed her eyes, basking in the warmth of the sun. Waiting for Arien's return, she heard Bella and the tigers coming back.

Neo and Nex trotted along side Bella on their way back.

Bella loped into the sun and then sprawled onto her belly, fur still damp and smelling faintly of "wet dog", as she basked in the heat.

Arien meanwhile found that one of his snares had indeed been triggered, though not by a deer. Judging by the smell, it had once been a skunk.

"Aw man, really? You just had to go and investigate?" There was no choice for it. The snare would have to be left behind. And so Arien made quick work of checking a few other traps and lucked into finding a weasel in one and a couple of squirrels in another. "Well, that'll do for now."

With a long suffering sigh he returned to the campsite. He could still smell the skunk in his nostrils even though it was long after he'd entered its vicinity.

Red smelled skunk before seeing Arien walk out. She laughed softly in amusement and took the small animals from Arien.
"Run into an unfriendly creature?" she asked in an amused tone.
Skinning them, she cut off the meat and put it into a pot. That she had found in the house, she had taken it and cleaned it out. Neo had gathered some herbs on the way back for Red.
Chopping them up, she put them into the pot as well as her water element. Nex had put togather some wood in a pile for her and she used her fire element. Then put the pot on the fire and stirred it around a bit. The simple elements didnt take near as much energy as mixing them up did.

"Not exactly," Arien murmured. "More like it made a point to tell me how it felt about my snare. Stupid skunks. I'm gonna try to wash this scent off, unless you need any help preparing the food?"

He watched her in concern, not wanting her to work too hard.

Bella had remained loyally beside Red, waiting and watching as she now cut up the pieces of meat and prepared them. She whined when Arien approached too near, his smell of skunk too strong for her.

Red coughed as the scent of skunk became more overwhelming the closer Arien got. "Im fine babe, just go wash that smell off," she replied laughing a little.
Watching the stew, she handed Bella a chunk of meat secretly. Then pscratched her behind the ear, smiling.

Nex lied down a little ways away from Arien as did Neo. Nex looked at Arien sympathetically.

"I'll try not to be too long," Arien called back as he ran for the nearest source of water. He hoped it would work. This wasn't his first encounter with a skunk, though last time it had been Bella who had been sprayed.

He soaked his clothing and then hung it up to dry while he washed himself. Slowly the stench began to ease and he could breathe normally. Done, he donned his still-damp clothing and then returned.

Bella wagged her tail at the treat, scarfing it down happily and leaning into the scratch. After a while, she nudged Red's arm when she saw Arien coming.

Red had the stew finished by time Arien returned. Pouring it into bowls for the tigers, Bella then herself and Arien, she handed Patch a large chunk of meat. Looking up when Bella nudged her arm, she smiled when she saw Arien.

Nex and Neo trotted over to their bowls and pulled them away.

Bella dove into her meal as Arien gratefully accepted his bowl from Red.

"Thanks, Red." He smiled and sat down next to her. He didn't reek of skunk this time. "This is very good," he added after a mouthful. "I think you've got some gift with cooking too."

Red started eating after everyone else had their food. She smiled at Arien's comment. "Thank you. Its my moms recipe," she said happily.
Finishing her meal quickly, she poured another bowl for herself. Checking on Neo and Nex, who were sprawled out comfy, she smiled.
