I wonder if it's the film "Independence Day"

1) The icon is called Independent Symbol
2) The star is a common symbol of the US
3) There's a large scale destructive event in the film

We need a veteran too, as the man was a fighter once, the president as veteran from gulf war?

I am not a Marvel person and don't have a sense of direction, but the star looked familiar.

Wasn't the Winter Soldier (named Bucky Barnes, as I learned just now) captured and held captive by Hydra, later unbrainwashing himself and becoming a hero? But I am unsure in general. I am sharing on the chance that someone more acquainted or awake than me might weigh in. Night!

That first clue seems to be an indication of apocalypse.

I doubt it's a marvel movie.
