Jabberjays 'perform' - recite back the stuff they listened to - on command, don't they?

Yes unfortunately not Jabberjay/Jabber Jay.

Free hint: It is a person.

Hrrrm, okay. Things to think on, then--

We've got someone who performs something when commanded - could be fearing the repercussions if they don't, or having to follow a command, like through brainwashing or somesuch.

Someone who is 'consumed by revenge' - does this point to someone vengeful (of which I'm sure there are plenty of characters), or someone who's... actually eaten by something, or eats something as a revenge?

And 'lost two'... Lost two what? Usually losers of the Games themselves don't, uh, have a second chance at it to my knowledge, so not those, but... objects? Other people? Literally lost or figuratively, ie, they died?
Went through some fandom.
The Covey are performers, only six left, which is related to some revenge?
As it isn’t Lucy Gray, only five left.
Perform on command?
I could see that, but I don't remember their names.
I tried Clerk Carmine, Lenore Dove, Maude Ivory, Billy Taupe, Barb Azure, and Tam Amber - all known Covey and it was none of them.
Even if it is a person, perhaps it's someone who has big enough goals in play that their plan or battle was won or lost, rather than them losing two people?

I've also heard that one of the themes of THG is that personal revenge makes things worse, so perhaps it's someone who's literally consumed by revenge.

I tried Alma Coin/President Coin/President Alma Coin, since it seemed like she lost a couple of battles, and I tried to look into District 2 stuff in case someone specific lost a whole district, but maybe that's not it since it's spelled out t-w-o.

New hint: Never left district 12

Well, that narrows it down. Not any of the tributes or rebels, then.
Tried some of the well known background characters. Madge, Greasy Sae, etc. didn't work. lol it may be more obscure than my brain can put together.

I'm so surprised this one has proved so tough, I really thought this one was going to be top of mind right now for a whole lot of fans!

Congrats on solving this symbol! The answer was "Willamae Abernathy".

For those of you wondering how this answer could be arrived at, here's a quick explanation. :)

Willamae Abernathy is Haymitch's mother. We learn a bit about her in the new book, Sunrise on the reaping. Her first name is mentioned just once, otherwise only called "ma."

Brace for some spoilers:

When Haymitch is "reaped," while others refuse to allow their pain to be on display for the capitol, Willamae agrees to allow the camera to capture her distress over her son being taken, and even performs for multiple reaction shots, in return for time to say goodbye to Haymitch.

When Haymitch participates in a plot to disrupt the Hunger Games - and embarrass the capitol - President Snow has Haymitch's mother and younger brother killed in a fire just as he is returning home.

Willamae was pregnant with twins who were born too early, and didn't survive.
Oh, that makes sense! I saw that Haymitch had lost two siblings, but I didn't realize his mother was ever mentioned as a character (one-time movie watcher and semi-active tumblr fan only, here). But it makes sense that even if he's a big name character and wouldn't count, uh, his mother had a name and she lost two children. Whoops.
