Asa returned to the table with her tray, a sandwich and a salad on it, along with some sweets—cookies and cupcakes. She carefully set it down, a little embarrassed by the indulgence but trying not to show it.

Yoru smirked and leaned back in her chair, her eyes narrowing slightly as she glanced at Asa's tray. "Well, well... Look at you, Asa. A salad for the healthy vibe, and then a whole mountain of sweets? Who are you fooling?" Yoru teased, her voice laced with playful sarcasm.

Asa blushed, trying to ignore the teasing. "I like to balance it out," she muttered, not really convinced by her own defense. "Besides, you can’t go wrong with cookies and cupcakes."

Asa smiled slightly, offering the sweets to Yoru, "I know you're not big on food, but you might like these. They're cookies and cupcakes."

Yoru glanced at the sweets and rolled her eyes. "I told you, I don't need food. Not interested." She leaned back, arms crossed, a bit of annoyance in her tone.

Asa just shrugged, not wanting to press further, and quietly nibbled on her sandwich instead. She could feel Yoru's disinterest, but it wasn’t anything new. Asa gave cookies and cupcakes to everyone else at the table, offering them with a warm smile. "Here, you guys can have some too," she said, handing out the treats to sooyoung and Vextra

Asa smiled at the compliments, feeling a bit proud. "I'm glad you like them," she said softly. "I thought they'd be a nice treat." She nibbled on one of the cookies, enjoying the quiet moment with the group.

Asa noticed Yoru's subtle change in mood but chose not to say anything. She continued enjoying her sweets, oblivious to the growing tension. "I'm glad you both like them," she said softly. She glanced at Yoru but quickly turned her attention back to her food. "I made sure to pick something sweet for everyone." Asa noticed Yoru's hesitation and then offered her a cupcake with a soft smile. "Here, Yoru. I saved one for you," she said, holding it out to her.

Yoru glanced at the cupcake for a moment, then finally took it with a slight sigh, rolling her eyes. "Fine, I'll try it," she muttered, taking a small bite.

She chewed, then paused, clearly surprised. "Not bad," she admitted, though she still didn't seem overly impressed. "But don't get any ideas, Asa. It's not going to change anything."

Yoru crossed her arms, still chewing the cupcake. "Maybe I’ve had human food, but it’s not exactly what I’d call ‘delicious’," she replied with a shrug, though she did seem to have softened a little. "But I’ll admit, the sweets aren’t the worst. Still doesn’t compare to… other things."

She shot a glance at Sooyoung and Vextra, raising an eyebrow. "But don’t get any ideas. I’m not becoming some fan of your human food culture."

Yoru leaned back in her chair, a wicked grin spreading across her face as she looked at Vextra and Sooyoung's concerned expressions. She glanced at the cupcake for a moment, then back at them, enjoying their discomfort.

"Oh, you know," Yoru started, her voice casual, "I tend to prefer... human souls. Much more satisfying than this bland stuff you guys eat." She said it with such nonchalance that it sent a chill down the room. "They’re full of emotions, fear, regret, all that delicious flavor. Much better than cupcakes."

She took another bite of her cupcake, eyes gleaming mischievously, clearly relishing the effect her words had on them.

Asa couldn't help but snicker at the scene. She glanced over at Yoru, still not sure what to think of her strange habits. "Well... that's one way to put it," Asa said, trying to lighten the mood.

She then turned to Yoru, her curiosity piqued. "So, is that something you actually enjoy? Consuming souls, I mean?" she asked, genuinely intrigued by the War Devil's perspective. She had heard strange things about devils before, but this was a whole new level.

Asa's expression darkened slightly as she saw the kids teasing Sooyoung. She wasn’t a fan of bullying, and the situation made her feel uneasy. She glanced at Yoru, waiting to see how the War Devil would react.

Yoru, clearly irritated by the group, looked at the kids with narrowed eyes. A dark aura surrounded her as she stood up from her seat, her voice icy. "If you keep running your mouths, I won't hesitate to make you regret it," she warned, her tone dripping with menace.

Asa shook her head, not wanting things to escalate too quickly. "Yoru, please. Let’s not make it worse," she said, giving the War Devil a subtle but firm look.

Yoru’s gaze softened slightly, but the coldness never fully left her. "Fine," she muttered, but it was clear she was ready to act if they pushed Sooyoung too far.

Yoru sighed, rubbing the back of her neck. "Look, I don’t usually get involved in stuff like that. But... I can't stand seeing people get pushed around, especially when they don't deserve it."

She glanced at Sooyoung with a slight smirk. "Besides, it’s not like I’m doing it for you, but if you need help, I’ve got your back. Just don’t expect me to be all nice about it next time."

Her tone softened a bit more as she added, "But I guess it feels good to help out every once in a while."

Yoru glanced away, trying to hide the faint smile creeping up on her face. "Don't get all sappy on me," she grumbled, though her tone was softer than usual. "Just don't make it a habit."

She glanced at Sooyoung, her eyes softening just a bit more. "But yeah, you're welcome. Don't get used to it, though."

There was a brief silence, but it was comfortable—a rare moment of understanding.

Yoru smiled softly and nodded. "Alright, see you later." Yoru walked beside Asa as they made their way to the next class. "So, what do you think about this school so far?" she asked, glancing at Asa with a smirk. "I know it’s not perfect, but it seems like you’re making progress."

Yoru’s usual tough exterior softened a little as she walked with Asa. "You and Sooyoung have a good bond. It’s nice to see," she added with a quiet, sincere tone, keeping pace with her.

As Asa and Yoru entered the classroom, a noticeable shift occurred. Whispers buzzed around the room as the other students stared at Asa, some with wide eyes and others with intrigued expressions. The incident earlier had clearly spread fast.

"Did you hear? She really had that pencil turn into a spear and threw it at the teacher!" one student whispered to another, trying to keep it quiet but failing.

As Asa made her way to her seat, a few students couldn't help but glance over, still talking about what had happened. Some of them were clearly nervous, while others seemed fascinated by the power Asa had shown, especially with Yoru inside her.

Yoru, sensing the eyes on them, shot a glare at a group of students who were staring a bit too intently. "What? Never seen someone with a little power before?" she asked, her tone sharp but not quite as aggressive as usual. It was clear she didn't want any more attention than necessary.

Asa kept her head down, trying to ignore the whispers and stares. "I... I didn’t mean to... cause such a scene," she mumbled, though the words barely escaped her lips. "I just wanted to make it through the day..."

As Asa focused on her notes, the murmurs of her classmates filled the room. She could hear bits and pieces of their conversations, some more obvious than others.

"Hey, have you seen Asa today?" one student whispered to another, her tone quiet but curious.

"Yeah, she’s always so quiet," another replied, glancing at Asa. "Like, it’s like she’s in her own little world all the time. I don’t get how she can focus so much."

"I don’t know. It’s kind of impressive," a third chimed in, half-laughing. "I’d be freaking out in a class like this, but she just sits there like she’s got it all figured out."

Another student, who hadn’t been part of the conversation, suddenly spoke up. "It’s creepy how she never talks to anyone. Do you think she’s a loner or something?"

The first student shrugged. "Maybe, but she’s not that weird. I think she just doesn’t care about all the drama. She seems... focused, you know?"

A few chuckles went around the room, but the conversation didn’t die. One girl sighed and whispered to her friend, "I kind of wish I could be like her—so calm and collected all the time. Maybe I could actually get some studying done."

"Yeah, right," the other student laughed. "Asa seems to have mastered the art of not caring. Imagine living like that."

The two girls immediately froze when they heard Sooyoung’s voice, their laughter dying in an instant. The girl who had made the comment about the “freak” looking monster quickly looked down at her desk, her face turning a little pale. Her friend nervously chuckled, trying to brush off the tension, but she could clearly see that Sooyoung wasn’t joking.

"So-so sorry, we didn't mean it," the first girl stammered, avoiding Sooyoung’s gaze. "We were just joking around."

The second girl nodded quickly, her face flushing with embarrassment. "Yeah, totally. We didn't think—uh, we didn’t think it was a big deal."

Asa sat quietly at her desk, pretending to focus on her notes, but she could hear the whispers around her. Students were sneaking glances, muttering under their breath.

"Did you see what she did earlier?" one whispered.
"Yeah, she nearly killed the teacher with that spear," another said in a hushed tone.
"She’s gotta be dangerous… what if she loses control again?"

Asa sighed, gripping her pencil tightly. She had already finished her assignments, yet she couldn't escape the stares or the murmurs. She wanted to ignore them, but Yoru wasn’t one to let things slide.

"Tch. These idiots have nothing better to do than gossip like scared little rats," Yoru sneered in Asa’s mind. "If they’re so scared of you, why not give them a real reason to be?"

"Yoru, no," Asa thought back firmly. "We're not making this worse."

"Hah. Fine. But if one of them so much as looks at you the wrong way, I’m throwing something again."

Asa just sighed again, lowering her head, trying to block out the noise.

Asa walked out of the classroom, adjusting her bag strap while avoiding eye contact with her classmates. She was relieved to finally be out of there.

"Ugh, finally," Yoru groaned. "If I had to listen to those weaklings whispering any longer, I would’ve shoved a textbook down someone’s throat."

Asa rolled her eyes but didn’t comment, making her way down the stairs toward the meeting spot. When she arrived, she saw Sooyoung and Vextra waiting.

She let out a small sigh and gave a tired nod. "Yeah… I’m just glad it’s over," she muttered, still feeling the weight of all the unwanted attention.

Yoru crossed her arms, floating slightly beside her. "Let’s hope the next class isn’t as stupid as that one," she huffed.

Asa sighed, glancing at Yoru, who still looked irritated. "She’s just mad about the rumors and the whispers," Asa muttered. "She hates being talked about like some kind of freak."

"Because I’m not a freak," Yoru snapped, crossing her arms. "And neither are you. They’re just pathetic."

Asa shook her head, rubbing the back of her neck. "It’s nothing new. People always stare when something’s different." She tried to sound indifferent, but the way she avoided eye contact gave away her discomfort.

She shifted on her feet. "Anyway, what’s our next class?" she asked, trying to change the subject.

Asa nodded, adjusting her bag as she followed along. “Yeah, I guess it’s good we have the same class,” she said, though she still felt uneasy from all the stares earlier.

Yoru scoffed. “They act like cowards, whispering instead of saying things to our faces. It’s pathetic.”

Asa sighed. “Let’s just focus on class. PE can’t be that bad… right?” She wasn’t exactly athletic, but at least it would be a distraction.

She walked beside Sooyoung and Vextra as they headed toward the gym, trying to shake off the tension

Asa shifted uncomfortably under the stares, gripping the strap of her bag. "Just ignore them," she muttered, though she knew that was easier said than done.

Yoru, on the other hand, was clearly irritated. "Let them stare. If they have something to say, they should grow a spine and say it." She crossed her arms, her red eyes flashing slightly.

Asa sighed. "Let's just get through class, okay? No throwing things, no starting fights. We don’t need more trouble." She shot a look at Yoru, silently warning her not to make things worse.

Asa sat down beside Sooyoung, letting out a small sigh. “Just… try, okay? I’d rather not deal with another lecture from the principal.” She glanced at Yoru, who scoffed but didn’t argue.

"Tch. Fine. But if someone pushes it, I’m not holding back." Yoru muttered, arms still crossed.

Asa shook her head but didn’t push further. She just wanted to get through PE without any more drama.
