Gods Spirits Beast and Men

The scene has suddenly shifted. Barame and Adael are sitting in a diner booth. There are a lot of customers.
Behind Barame sit a dark haired man, and a woman wearing a red headscarf. They have three plates of scrambled eggs on their table, and seem to be having an uneasy conversation.
Behind Adael sits a woman with long white hair in a ponytail and purple t-shirt. She has a mug of coffee on the table and a phone in her hand.
In the foreground is a family of two large men and a young girl. One man has a mustache, shaggy orange hair and a West Coast Kings hoodie, the other is only seen from the back. He has a undercut and a green shirt. The young girl has her hair up in frizzy pigtails. She is eating a large slice of pizza by dangling it cheese-side down from above her head.

A Narration box reads: One Week Ago

Barame gestures with his hand.
Barame: Wait!
He looks confused, scratching the back of his head.
Barame: How are we getting out of there?
He points to a map. Bellefontaine and the Temple of Justice are labelled, and an area just north west of the temple is circled in red pen.
Barame (continued): We can't get back to Bellefontaine before the sun sets.
Adael (off panel): We're going to have to take a page from Losay's book and spend a night in the badlands.
Barame points at Adael angrily.
Barame: Like hell we are! I'm not doing that thing with the mark of protection!
Adael talks as he drinks from a large paper cup with a straw.
Adael: You won't have to! I used to defend that estate against the free spirits. I can defend one person.
Barame has his head in his hands. He looks defeated.
Barame: Oh gods, I can't believe I'm agreeing to this.
